My favorite Black Friday deals! 11/23

Well, ready or not, Black Friday is almost here!  Whether or not you are a Black Friday shopper (I, personally, choose to forgo most of the craziness until Cyber Monday), some of the deals I have found posted online that will be happening on Black Friday are too good to resist!  Below is a list of some sites that I have found to be very helpful in rounding up these deals.  Happy shopping!  And, be sure to let me know if you scored a great deal this Black Friday!

1.  Hip2Save- This site has done a great job of rounding up deals at stores such as Macy’s, JCPenney, ToysRus, Old Navy, Best Buy, Kohl’s, etc.  It also gives tips on how to get the most out of your Black Friday shopping trip!

2.  TotallyTarget-  This site offers a list of all of the best Black Friday deals going on specifically at Target stores.  It does an excellent job of pairing coupons with the best-priced deals you will find on everything on your list in Target on Black Friday!

3.  TheKrazyCouponLady-  This site will show you where to go to get the best deals on holiday gift card promos during the season.  It details which stores give free gift cards or bonuses with purchase.  One of my favorites is from Victoria’s Secret- get a Free Secret Reward Card (worth $10, $50, $100, or $500) with $10 purchase through 11/30/11. 4.  Mashable-  This article details the 9 best Walmart Black Friday deals, mostly electronics.

5.  WildforWags-  This site is dedicated to finding the best deals at Walgreens stores.  Click the link to be directed to a Gift-giving guide for the holidays for everyone on your list!  Lots of good deals and money-saving gift ideas are in the guide!

6.  The Thrifty Couple-  This site has a list of everything from coupon deals to recipe ideas to Christmas gift ideas, all on a budget!  I love this site and just enjoy perusing it for ideas and inspiration from time to time!

7.  All You-  The site to the popular magazine All You which has an article listing the best Black Friday deals in stores such as Staples, Walmart, Kohl’s, Michaels, Walgreens and more!

Walgreens (sale through Sept. 3, today!)

  • Domino sugar (on sale for $2.49 with in-ad coupon)($.50 off 1 Domino product COUPON in August 28 RedPlum insert, also!)
  • One dozen Grade A Large Eggs (on sale for $1.29)
  • Angel Soft toilet tissue (9 big rolls for $4) COUPON for $1 off 2 in August 14 RedPlum insert
  • Softsoap Liquid Hand Soap (Buy One Get One Free)
  • Buy $30 or more of P & G products (Pampers, Gillette, Olay, Crest, Aussie, Nice ‘n Easy, Oral B, Pantene, etc.) and get $10 Register Rewards!  Check out your latest P & G coupon inserts in your Sunday papers for some potential money-saving scenarios with this deal!

Walgreens deal! 8/10

Walgreens finds 8-9

This is a deal that I got at my local Walgreens yesterday.  I planned out my trip around things I would use and things that were on sale AND had a coupon (in most instances).  I ended up getting about $45 worth of merchandise for about $4!  Megacool!  You can do it to!  This is how:

First transaction:

  • Gillette Fusion Power Razor (on sale for $9.99, $4 off coupon in the July 31 P & G insert, AND $4 Register Reward)
  • Crayola 24 ct. crayons (on sale for $1 AND $1 Register Reward)
  • (2) Expo 2-pk. black dry erase markers (on sale for $.99 a piece AND used $2 off any 2 packs Expo markers found here)
  • (2) Colgate Total Gum Defense 4 oz. toothpastes (used (2) $1.50 off one Colgate Total Gum Defense coupons, on sale for $3.49 a piece, AND $4 Register Reward) (NOTE:  the coupon I used is no longer available to print, but you can still go on the Colgate website and print off a coupon and look in your July 24 SmartSource insert for another $.50 off one Colgate toothpaste- this will still give you the Register Rewards and a good deal on toothpaste!)
  • Paid around $10 out of pocket

Second transaction:

  • (4) travel-sized Degree women’s deodorants at $.99 a piece AND $1 of 1 Degree deodorant found in the July 31 RedPlum insert, AND $4 Register Reward)
  • (2) boxes of Skinny Cow Milk Chocolate Dreamy Clusters (I prefer Dark Chocolate, but my husband will eat these for snacks) with Walgreens August savings booklet coupon (found right at the front of the store) of $1 off 2, AND (2) manufacturer’s coupons for $1 off each box of Skinny Cow candy (one was a peelie from a box of Skinny Cow fudge bars and the other is from the July 31 RedPlum insert)
  • Keri lotion on sale for $5.99 AND $5 Register Rewards
  • Used $9 of Register Rewards from first transaction
  • Paid about $3.50 out of pocket AND had $9 Register Rewards remaining!

All together:  AROUND $4 FOR ABOUT $45 WORTH OF PRODUCTS!  MEGACOOL!

Note:  Register Rewards are what the cash register spits out after your purchase that you can use toward your next purchase in the store.  It’s like FREE money!  Honestly, you can end up getting a lot of things for free if you play your cards right!

Megacool Healthy Made Easy Shopping List 8/5

Each week I am going to give you a “snippet” of my own shopping list that I have compiled by scrounging the store ads, online coupon deals and coupon inserts.  I am only going to post from my list what I have found that is on sale, a good buy with a coupon, and good for you!  I will tell you where to find the coupon and which store I go to for the deal.  Also, if you don’t have the SmartSource inserts from your newspapers that I refer to, you can go here to look for and print the coupon from your computer.  Happy shopping and eating!

  • Chicken breast $.99/lb.
