Today I have a few treasures for all of you Megacoolmama fans! First, I would like to share a website with you that I absolutely LOVE! If you are a mother, aunt, grandma, godmother, etc. of small children, this website is a must! Totsy is a site that hosts private sales from boutique-like brands, and you always get awesome deals on their stuff! So far, I have ordered super cute and unique clothes for my two little ones, a couple of games, books, a pair of cute sandals for myself (did I mention they sell stuff for moms, too?), and a couple of gifts for family from this site. Secondly, I found a couple of Facebook deals that can score you some good coupons on items that are good for you and your family. If you go to the Annie’s Facebook page and “like” them, you will see a whole treasure trove of coupons pop up for $1 and more off of their organic, healthy products (it looks like these can only be used for online purchases- HOWEVER, Costco has a $2.75 off coupon for their individually packaged treats going on until August 8 AND a lot of Annie’s products are on clearance at Target right now, which should make for a cheaper price than even the coupons would have)! A few of our favorite items from Annie’s are the macaroni & cheese dinners, the Cheddar Bunnies, and the Chocolate Bunnies. They also have salad dressings and many other products as well. Another neat thing I found on the Web today is something called the “Ingredient Decoder”. It is on the Kashi website, and it allows you to search their index of common food ingredients in order to figure out what exactly that ingredient is, where it comes from, and whether it is good or bad for you. This is a great quick reference if you are not sure about something like “sodium benzoate” that pops up on the list of ingredients on something you are going to eat!
