So, if you’re a Megacoolmama who likes to save money and feel like an environmentally responsible citizen, then you will love this idea! Go to this link to see if Green Halloween sponsors a Costume Swap in your area! October 8 is National Costume Swap Day, and there will be swaps happening all over the country! If you can’t find one in your area, why not start one yourself? It could be as simple as asking a family member or friend with kids to switch costumes with you or inviting all of your family and friends with kids to do one big swap! Let me know if you participated in one of these fun events and how it went in the comments section below!
And, about that candy…
Why not make Halloween a little bit healthier this year while you’re at it? I am not sure how it is humanly possible for any child to consume the amount of candy that is received in an average trick-or-treat run. Obviously, this is a fun event for the kids and they look forward to getting their little treats. However, handing out something like Annie’s Homegrown Organic Orchard Fruit Bites instead of sugary candies is still fun and tasty! You can find “healthy” treats at the store if you just look! (Look here for more treats from Annie’s Homegrown!)
